The report examines the laws, policies, and practices of one AMS [ ASEAN Member States ] and seeks to address some of the central questions relating to compensation for victims of trafficking in persons.Thailand has been selected as the country of focus.This report is divided into three substantive parts.

  • Part-1 provides an overview of the issue of compensation for victims of trafficking from both a regional and an international perspective.
  • Part-2 details the applicable legal and policy framework in Thailand and describes the workings of various channels through which compensation can be made available.
  • Part-3 sets out the major conclusions of the Study – focusing particularly on challenges and recommendations for the future.
